How to search for and evaluate medical evidence

Successfully implementing EBM requires the ability to frame a clinical question, perform a literature search, evaluate the search results, and apply the results to individual patients. The author describes the first 3 components of the EBM process and offers advice regarding useful EBM resources and search tools, effective searching strategies, and appropriate evaluation of the evidence retrieved.
