How clinical practice guidelines can improve medical practice Jones K
Clinical practice guidelines can lead to improvements in health care delivery if the guidelines are well designed, goal oriented, specific, evidence based, and adapted for local use with input from the physicians who will use them. Attributes of good guidelines have been defined and should be used as criteria for assessing the quality and applicability of guidelines from national or international organizations for local adoption.
