Assessing private practice opportunities: an introduction for new physicians Mirkin DP
A growing number of physicians leaving postgraduate training are choosing to enter private practice during a time when reports of bankrupt practices are not uncommon. However, new physicians can prevent financial disappointment or avoid risky practice settings altogether if they know how to appraise the practice options available to them. The author provides an introduction to factors that have been shown to impact the financial success of medical practices, including leadership, governance, financial control, and office management.
