Anticonvulsants (eg, phenytoin), antipsychotics (eg, risperidone), and dopaminergic agents (eg, pramipexole) can induce tics in children and adolescents3; however, stimulants, such as amphetamines, methylphenidate, cocaine, and pemoline, induce tics at a higher frequency.
