What information do we collect? How do we use it?
Turner White Communications collects information online for the sole purpose of fulfilling your
requests. When you subscribe to one of our publications, we need to know your name and mailing address. We also ask that you provide us with your AMA Specialty, if applicable. This allows us to possibly offer you a complementary subscription.
Will we disclose the information collected to outside parties?
The collection of personal information will be saved and used for fulfillment of your publication request and will not be released to others.
Turner White Communications may choose to sell, trade or rent your personal information to trustworthy third parties providing offers that we feel would be attractive to our subscribers. If you wish to permanently opt-out of these offers, please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
Also, we may decide to use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our Web site and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Web site, or that Y number of women who filled out our registration form are from the northeast U.S., but we would not disclose anything that could be
used to identify those individuals.
How does Turner White Communications protect customer information?
Because we are not collecting specific credit card data, the information collected is transmitted over a non-secure server. Nonetheless, Turner White Communications uses industry standard efforts, such as firewalls, to safeguard the confidentiality of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
A special note concerning children's privacy.
The safety of children is obviously very important to us. Children should always ask a parent or guardian for permission before sending personal information to anyone online. Turner White Communications does not collect or maintain information at our Web site from those we actually know are under 18.
Is there anything else I should know?
In short, if you provide personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. It is ultimately your responsibility to maintain the secrecy of your personal information to the extent you feel comfortable. We encourage you to be careful and to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.
