Effect of physician turnover on patient satisfaction in an academic primary care practice Tierney WM, Dexter PR, Eckert GJ, Zhou XH
Patients receiving primary care in an academic setting become familiar with their physicians, only to lose them when physicians graduate or transfer to other settings. This study found that patients whose physicians left were highly satisfied prior to physician departure but that satisfaction declined significantly following departure.
