Physician perceptions about the flu: a survey of U.S. primary care providers Witsell DL, Dolor RJ, Holzer SS
Surveyed physicians indicated that patient complaints and the season in which the patient presents were more important than physical examination findings in making a diagnosis. Most physicians recommended flu vaccination and supported conservative measures for treatment of flu patients.
