A disease management program utilizing 'life coaches' for children with asthma Axelrod RC, Zimbro KS, Chetney RR, Sabol J, Ainsworth VJ
A not-for-profit health care system in Virginia uses “life coaches,” registered nurses who provide assessment, education, and monitoring, to enable self-management by children with asthma and their caregivers. The program has reduced the need for more intensive and higher-cost services.
