Continuity of care is associated with early and consistent treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder during a single school year

Stimulant therapy has been shown to improve academic performance in children with ADHD. In this study, children who consistently saw the same primary care provider were more likely to be prescribed a stimulant medication by October of the academic year and to fill the prescription throughout the year.
