Cost-effectiveness of abbreviated regimens for Helicobacter pylori eradication in peptic ulcer disease Shaffer DN, Datta SK, Matchar DB
Therapy for H. pylori eradication typically consists of a 10- to 14-day regimen that includes a proton pump inhibitor or bismuth preparation and antibiotics. Given the compliance and cost issues associated with therapy use, the authors created a decision analytic model to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of 3 abbreviated regimens compared with 3 conventional regimens.
