Patient utilities for complications do not predict treatment choice in men with clinically localized prostate cancer Saigal C, Gornbein J,Litwin MS
The authors evaluated the time trade-off method of utility assessment, which establishes the number of life-years a patient would trade to avoid having a heatlh problem. In this study, the method functioned poorly as a measure of patient preferences for morbidities related to genitourinary and rectal function.
